We have the tendency to forget things. If we do what is right, it is much better than doing things that are foolish. Foolishness is a path to harm. We should be loving and faithful. What matters most is if we please God. We are to trust in the Lord with all our heart (the deepest part of us), do not rely on our own understanding (which is limited), in all our ways we are to acknowledge the Lord, and He will make our paths straight. We need to do what we are told by God. The recorded last words of Nero were "What a great artist has died with me". In other words Nero died thinking that the world was at a lost when he died because he claimed he was so great. We need to be wise, not in our own eyes, but instead we need to be thanking God for all things including wisdom. We are to fear the Lord and shun evil, not see how close we can get to the edge of sin. We are, by nature, lawbreakers. That is not okay, we need God's benefit and do what we're told. We are not number 1, God is. When we do the wrong thing, it is better for us to get caught. If we are loved, we will be disciplined. God will meet our needs and more, if we seek Him. Wisdom is what God is like, we need to pursue wisdom. We do not need to fear or be afraid, God is in control, He is our confidence.
