Once again I will preach a sermon in the series The Worship That Pleases God, and we will conclude the section indicated above, which will be our last full section in this series. We have been considering the appropriate attitude that must accompany our worship of God. In this sermon I will seek to emphasize the lifestyle characteristic of worship that is described by the apostle Paul. This is so important that, if we do not get this right, then our public worship will really be in vain. And this goes far deeper than what is ever discussed in the so-called "worship wars." This touches us at the heart, and in the daily routine of life, and then spills over into our corporate worship. The ignorance about what God requires, and the lack of this attitude is probably what accounts for much of the superficiality in modern worship. May the Lord be pleased to help us by giving us the desire to worship Him in an acceptable manner as it is revealed in the Scriptures.
