Topic: Demons. This is the last lesson we'll have on the spirit world. We need to learn about our enemy so we can know how to protect ourselves. Demons are spirit beings, and we do not know the origin of demons. There are no direct references to them in the bible. They are evil beings, and there are 5 Hebrew words for them and 4 Greek words for them. The greatest bible scholars disagree on the origins of demons. Demons are individuals with unique names, they can speak, have emotions, are intelligent, have free will, can manifest themselves physically, and most importantly, demons desire to possess a body. This is what separates them from other spirit beings: they seek first and foremost to possess a human body to do their bidding and then destroy the body, but they will go after an animal body if they have to. They are called “unclean spirits” because they exercise the most basic, degenerate, and evil of all human actions and behaviors. They act according to Satan's leadership. They try to disrupt and destroy all that God builds and stands for. They go after churches and they make false cults to lead us astray. Here's a list of the bad things they can do: They can cause dumbness, blindness, deformities, an occurrence that resembles epilepsy, suicidal mania, hysteria, insanity.
