And regarding the supposed reason not to preach this of, "I don't want to give people a reason to sin" Spurgeon said this, "...bring me the beast or devil that would say, 'God has set His love on me from before all worlds...therefore I hate God, therefore I live in sin,' Bring me the monster, I say...then I will not admit that there is reason in that vile lie, that damnable slander, which you have cast upon this doctrine- that makes men live in licentiousness. There is no truth of God that can so nerve a man to pity as the fact that he was chosen of God before time began. Loved by You with an unlimited love that never moves and that endures to the end- O my God! I desire to spend myself in your service-
