Points: I. The Sin from Which He Was Restored II. The Task to Which He Was Restored III. The Future to Which He Was Restored
Our series on Christ's 40-Day Ministry between his Resurrection on Easter and His Ascension 40 Days Later continues.
It is really these 40 Days that prepared His disciples for their work and future ministry. In the section we're looking at today, we see a conversation between the Lord and Peter.
It is generally considered Peters restoration to office. Peter had denied the Lord and called curses upon himself in affirming that he did not know Jesus.
So in this restoration, Peter is humbled by the three-fold step of his restoration. The subsequent depth of Peter's convictions and service show well that he would again be used in Christ's service for His Church.
