And then God said, “The man is become as one of US”. Who did God refer to when He said US? God could not mean the angels. The angels in heaven are in no way comparable to God. God was confirming what He already said in Gen 1:26, “Let US make man in our image, after our likeness”. In other words, God was letting us know that He consists of three Persons in one Godhead. Well, does God know good and evil? Of course God does! God knows everything. God is perfect and therefore God cannot improve on any subject by learning more from experience. God knows good and evil, and that is why God could design the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. But God is also the source of all life, and that is why God could design the Tree of Life.
