Confused and contentious believers will only cause disunity in a church unless they can be corrected in their disunity. The Corinthians were not joined together in the same mind and the same judgment. The church at Corinth seemed to be torn and separate, and they were not getting along very well, they became followers of people. Paul received word of these contentions and wrote to them to try to straighten out these problems. Let us consider Paul's words wisely and not make the same mistake of elevating people. We must be in unity and faith in Christ. Paul was trying to call them back to unity and faith in Christ.
