“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” —Hebrews 10:23
Where the blood atonement of Christ Jesus has been experience by a believer, there will be...there must be...clear signs that follow such a blessing.
Therefore the apostle gives three exhortations, three "charges" if you will, to Christ's people...all beginning with the phrase "Let us".
In this message, the focus is on the Spirit's exhortation to "hold fast" to our "profession of faith". Perhaps a better word would be "confession" of faith for there is a considerable difference between a *profession* and a *confession*.
One who has been bought with "the blood of Jesus" is held fast forever by Christ; no one is able to pluck him out of His hand. Therefore, the apostle's argument is, let him who is so firmly held by Christ, show his love for Christ by holding firmly to Him.
