'I want you to know that I have enjoyed my Puritan Hard Drive immensely.
I simply could not have imagined such a resource before getting my hands on it!

Terrific series! Here are four messages on the atonement that are very helpful because they explain Christ's saving work in the context of Scripture's paradigms and vocabulary (such as OT types and shadows, and corresponding NT fulfillments). This is very important. Most of us tend to overlay our modern-day impressions and ideas onto many Bible topics and passages.
"The whole counsel [or 'resolved plan'] of God" (Acts 20:27) must be considered when weighing, comparing and interpreting one passage in light of another. God's word and the larger matrix of His saving work is the best interpreter of Scripture. These presentations do a good job of recognizing and applying this principle.
There are a couple of places where the speaker gets into a bit of a 'rant' that makes me cringe -- of course, we all have our flaws -- but, overall, this is one of the most helpful series of presentations on the atonement I have found to share with anyone. I really do hope many people will make time to listen to this series carefully.

A must hear! This sermon is a classic. A must hear for all Christians and especially preachers. Nothing is more helpful to learning how to preach, than listening to TRUE preaching. This is what we need more of. Not preaching in general, nor even "expository" preaching, but PLAIN preaching. Hopefully the other sermons in this series will be posted soon. I can hardly wait!

MidWest Conference 1984 These 4 sermons were preached at the 2nd annual Mid West Conference in Bluffton, OH. in 1984. The year before he had preached the 4 powerful sermons "God's Word to Our Nation." But I am bold to say that there are not 4 sermons on the Atonement preached with more passion and excellent delivery than these. Pastor Martin was 50 years old when these were preached and was at his best as a preacher at this time. There is also great application, as well as doctrine here.
For over forty years, Pastor Albert N. Martin faithfully served the Lord and His people as an elder of Trinity Baptist Church of Montville, New Jersey. Due to increasing and persistent health problems, he stepped down as one of their pastors, and in June, 2008, Pastor Martin and...
