Imitate the faith of your leaders (v. 7d). III. Apply your leaders' teaching, for they taught about Jesus who never changes (v. 8). A. Do not be deceived by strange teachings (v. 9a, c). B. Do be strengthened by grace instead (v. 9b). C. Do feed upon Christ and His sacrifice outside the camp to sanctify us (vs. 10, 12). D. Do not seek sustenance in the Old Covenant rituals (v. 11). E. Do live a life of New Covenant worship: 1. Bear Christ's reproach for a greater reward (vs. 13-14). 2. Offer sacrifices: a. of praise (v. 15) b. of good works (v. 16). IV. Obey your leaders (v. 17a). V. Submit to your leaders (v. 17b). A. For they keep watch over your souls (v. 17c). B. For they will give an account to God (v. 17d). C. For they should serve with joy, not groaning (v. 17e). D. For this will be an advantage to you (v. 17f). VI. Pray for your leaders (vs. 18-19).
