A Love Song To The King And His Bride
The psalm divides into three parts. I want us to address each part and find what God wants us to rejoice in as we, His Bride, the Church, prepare for the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. Let’s examine the psalmist’s answers in Psalm 45 to three questions—“Who is the King?” “Who Is The King’s Bride? and “What Is The Importance Of The King’s Name?” Beloved, today, God the Holy Spirit is saying, “Church, prepare for your formal wedding to the King.” Part of this poem is our ode of exultation to our King. Part of this poem is His epithalamium—His poem to us, His Bride, on our way to His bridal chamber and wedding supper: What answers do the sons of Korah give us to these three vital questions—Who is the King, Who is the King’s Bride? and What is the importance of the King’s Name?
