IT IS GOOD FOR ME THAT I HAVE BEEN AFFLICTED
Testimony of John Farese
http://www.farese.com
It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes. The law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of coins of gold and silver. Your hands have made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments. Those who fear You will be glad when they see me, Because I have hoped in Your word. I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are right, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me. Let, I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort, According to Your word to Your servant. Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; For Your law is my delight. (Psa 119:71-77)

A Note from Johnny Farese. The following note was sent out August 2013. It gives a small idea of what our brother was enduring before this week when he entered glory. "Dear Brethren, I am truly sorry that I haven't sent out a personal update on myself in quite sometime. I keep getting weaker and weaker as each day passes by. I can hardly speak a couple of words above a whisper. I am being taken off hospice on Thursday August 22. This means no more pain management until I can find a doctor who is willing to make house calls, this is not very easy. Please pray that our Lord will provide a doctor before Thursday.Spiritually I am graciously being upheld by our Lord through your faithful prayers. I am very eager to go Home, but "Your will not mine be done oh Lord."I wish physically I could serve you all better. However I am just too weak. Johnny Aug. 24th Dear Brethren, This is Gina writing on behalf of my brother Johnny. As you know Johnny's health has been declining over the past year. He has become so weak that he can no longer use his computer, Therefore, effective immediately. Johnny E-mail distribution service has sadly come to an end. He wants you to know that it has been a tremendous blessing to serve you over the past fourteen years. He is eager to meet many of you face to face in the new Jerusale

Johnny is in heaven! This morning, March 10th, word has been received that this dear brother has passed away. To us "Reformed Baptists" he was an inspiration to say the least. He distributed our prayer letters for years using nothing but voice recognition software since he was a quadriplegic. How humbling it was to get a note from him that he was enjoying the sunshine for the first time on his face in six months as he would only go out to get his feeding tube replaced. He was interviewed by Coral Ridge Ministries while James Kennedy was still there. http://farese.com/video1.htm I know the last few months he was in continual pain, but I marveled at how patiently he seemed to endure it. He is one of the most amazing example of a person taking his broken body and placing it on the alter to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
