To be saved means to be delivered from sin. Not from the penalty of sin only, but from the power of sin, with the promise to be delivered from the presence of sin. It means to be converted; from a sinner to a saint of God; from a child of the devil to a child of God; from an unbeliever to a believer. To be saved means we are separated from the world and are now a pilgrim and stranger here, sojourning until we die, or Jesus comes for his bride. It is not a simple process of intellectually accepting a few facts and then reciting a prayer. It is a new birth. Old things are passed away and all things are become new.
