As believers our behavior our behavior is all the more critical. Is our behavior suitable for the glorious good news that we are bringing to the world? God wants us to conduct ourselves as He would. Unity is how we are to stand in our spiritual behavior; not everyone going off in different directions. Compromise is a big issue when it comes to spiritual behavior (not compromise of the word of God); because without it the enemy will have an opening to attack. We need it for the sake of our common goal of the faith of the gospel.
