Christ said it is not the Father's will that any of these little ones should perish. God is concerned about the welfare of His sheep. How do we make the Father's will in this area ours? We look at this Scripture in context. First, this statement is in response to a question by his disciples. Christ uses a young child as a representative of one of His sheep. Children are humble. They are without prejudice, willing to be taught, and directed. Christ uses the parable of the lost sheep to express the care He has for His sheep. Then, we look at how we can make His Will Ours. We can make His will ours by remembering His love for us. He loved us when we were dead in sins, Romans 5:6. He loved us enough to lay down His life for us, John 15:13. We then remember that we love Him because He first loved us, 1st John 4:19. We also want to remember that we are the Lord's search team. We are the means he uses to search for the sheep. We must "Rescue the Perishing."
