We return to our exposition of Luke and descend from the Mount of Transfiguration into the Valley of Sin and Misery. In the Valley we find a boy demon possessed and a father whose faith in Christ's promise ebbs and flows - we find that faith is assailed but gains its strength and victory in Christ and not in faith itself. We also consider the defects in the disciples' faith as they were unable to cast out the demon. All in all, we will see that the faith we possess finds its assurance and help entirely in Christ. Luke 9:37-42.
