Acts 8:4-13 – Christ Preached in Samaria – Sermon Outline Intro: Through Saul's persecution of the Church following the martyrdom of Stephen, Christians are scattered to the surrounding regions. What was meant for evil, God purposed for good, as the gospel comes to Samaria. Need: God may allow His own people/Church to be struck with hardship, but it is always for our good, and calls us to faithful, fruitful service for the sake of His kingdom. Theme: Christ and His kingdom are preached to the Samaritans through Philip.
1. Philip, like Christ and the Apostles, preaches the Gospel backed by miracles. (4-8) 2. Satan's spell is broken in Samaria, as many convert to Christ from Simon the Sorcerer. (9-13)
