The 38th Chapter of Genesis is not the chapter we would have preferred for a Father's Day. Providentially we find ourselves here this morning. We see that God works in and through sinful people and most especially sinful people who confess their sin and are thereby able to be used by the Father to be in the line of Jesus Christ. Although Judah sinned, when confronted by his sin he confessed. It is similar to when David confesses when Nathan charges David with the sin with Bathsheba and the murder of her husband.
The challenge to young people is to be very careful who you marry.
The challenge for the church is to remember that by His grace God still uses weak, fallen humans, but humans who confess our sins.
