At the annual church business meeting of Trinity Baptist Church in January of 2006, Pastor Martin announced to the congregation that it was his intention to relinquish his place as one of their pastors and to relocate to western Michigan some time in the year 2008. An approximate date of June 15 has now been set for that move and relocation.
Since his arrival in Caldwell, NJ in July 1962, nearly forty-six years have passed in which Pastor Martin has sought to serve His Lord by serving as one of the under-shepherds and pastors of Trinity Baptist Church. In the remaining weeks, he intends to highlight those biblical truths and perspectives which have constituted the dominant and all-encompassing passion of his labors for these forty-six years. In this final sermon as one of the Elders at Trinity Baptist Church, Pastor Martin rehearses the spirit and substance of his 46 years of ministry here. He speaks of the evidence of Christ in his life as he has fearlessly,earnestly,and passionately labored among us with respect and appreciation in order to see a vital, Spirit wrought, heart and life experience with Christ in each of our lives and that we might be enamored with Christ and have a desire to know and please Him more and more.
God's working. I must confess I never heard such a testimony of somebody's ministry an this, admitting his failures in some areas! I thank God for His work in and through pastor Martin - and this was also an encouragement for me: what God could do in and through him, He can do also in me, in us.

Very Encouraging message! I listened today to this farewell sermon from Pastor Martin. It really moved my Soul to hear him speak of his labours in Trinity Church over 46 years. Todays church is in desperate need of men like this!!!
