Tonight we continue with Thomas Watson's study through the sixth petition of the Lord's Prayer on what means should be used that Satan's temptations may not prevail against us. 1) avoid solitariness; 2) beware of the predominance of melancholy; 3) study sobriety; 4) be always upon your guard; 5) beware of idleness; 6) make known thy case to some godly friend (conceal not temptation); 7) make use of the word; 8) let us be careful of our own hearts, that they do not decoy us into sin; 9) flee the 'occasions of sin'; 10) make use of faith; 11) be much in prayer; 12) be humble in your own eyes; 13) do not enter into a dispute with Satan; 14) put on Christian fortitude; 15) call in the help of others; 16) make use of all the encouragements we can.
