As Chapter 3 continues Paul lays down his final conclusion to the condition of humanity and our universal need for the Gospel, the Power of God to salvation. As he draws his introduction to a close, The Spirit leads us through a number of Scriptures that show that this has always been the condition of fallen humanity and it will continue to be until Jesus returns. We are all in need of His Grace in Jesus Christ our Lord. In this sixth and final lesson from this section of the text, Paul brings this to its conclusion, no one can be saved by the works of the law. In other words, we are utterly helpless in our condition under sin, God alone, by His power, granted by His Grace through faith in His Son, Jesus can rescue us from our condemnation. With this, Paul reminds us that this whole exercise has been to shut our mouths from all of the arguments and rationalizations, so that we can see our desperate need for His salvation.
