We are over sensitive and easily offended because of our pride. This demonstrates that the gospel needs to sink much more deeply into our hearts. If we really believed the gospel -- that our righteousness is in Christ, not in our works -- we wouldn't care so much about what people think of us and we wouldn't be so offended when people correct us.
