Our series of messages about the Sermon on the Mount has brought us to the place where Christ addresses the issue of divorce and remarriage (Matt. 5:31-32). In order to understand the words of Christ in His sermon, here we pause to begin surveying all of the key texts in the Bible dealing with the issue. This message in particular surveys the key texts in the OT dealing with divorce: Deuteronomy 22:13-19,28-29; Deuteronomy 24:1-4; Isaiah 50:1; Jeremiah 3:8; and Malachi 2:10-16.
