It had now been evening after Jesus spent the day preaching and teaching in parables. He turned to his disciples and said, "Let's cross to the other side of the lake." Shortly after the boat set sail, a ferocious storm came up, but Jesus was asleep at the back of the boat. The disciples, gripped with fear, woke Jesus up saying, "Teacher don't you care that we're going to drown." Upon arising, at Jesus' command the winds ceased and became totally calm. Turning to the disciples Jesus said, "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?"
