Elder R. Rubino, Pastor. “Mother of Revival or Judgement!” I Text: Old Covenant: (Proverbs 31) New Covenant: (Revelation 22)
II Doctrine: Throughout history the living God has pruned his Church. When God’s people blaspheme his name among the heathen, he will cleanse his spiritual house. The correct response to judgement for the Christian is repentance, obedience, and revival. Without proper knowledge of God’s commands and his character revival will not come. All Christian parents are obligated to be efficient in handling God’s word, and teach it to their children. Women are not second class citizens in Christianity. Unlike todays pagan America, women are more than working slaves or sex toys. Women are a fountain of life and joy in the home. They are to be protected and cherished as Jesus Christ commanded us.
III Reasons: 1) Christian Mothers must appreciate the awesome responsibility God has given them. (Proverbs 31:1-9; 1 Peter 2:9,10) 2) The role of the Mother must be defined by the Word of God and not a perverted nation. (Proverbs 31:10-24; 1 Peter 2:11) 3) The power of the Gospel is illustrated at home through a Godly Mother. (Proverbs 31:25-31; 1 Peter 2:12) IV Application: 1) The weakened state of the visible Church began with the destruction of Motherhood. (Sue Bohlin Probe Ministries Article https://bible.org/print/18057) 2) Mothers are not to condone sinful behavior in the family and become “enablers” of sin. (Revelation 22: 6-12) 3) Christian Mothers must be a source of revival in the Church and not an agent of Judgement. (Revelation 22:14-17)
