This week we move on to the next prayer of Paul where he requests that God's Word would spread rapidly and that they would be rescued from "perverse and evil men". We look at the responsibility of fellow believers to those suffering affliction and persecution. We see that in persecution we look to the "blessed hope of Christ's return" as an antidote to despair in those trying circumstances. We then look at all of the other things that looking for Christ's return is a remedy for, like fidelity, patience, sobriety, and purity. We look at the next two verses in our text and look at the love of God and steadfastness in Christ. I read two passages by AW Pink.
