The faith-vision before us in Romans 12:1-2 defines two aspects of the New Covenant priesthood of all believers "in Christ":
1. Jesus is the High Priest of the New Covenant Melchizedekian Priesthood (Hebrews chapter five) of all "born again" believers "in Christ" 2. All Church Age believers alive at any given time during the Church Age as they present themselves to their High Priest for their "work of the ministry" in the New Temple of "lively stones" (I Peter 2:5) – "the church of the firstborn" (Hebrews 12:23) of the Lord Jesus Christ
The believer-priest's presentation of his/her sanctified body (Romans chapters six through eight) is presented to Jesus, the believer's High Priest, for the purpose of Him consecrating that sanctified believer-priest for the "work of the ministry" through the local church.
