The scribes derided Jesus, calling him Beelzebul, "Lord of the files" and saying He cast out demons by Satan's power. Jesus pointed out how foolish this was and warned that this kind of blasphemy would not be forgiven. Usually all sins can be forgiven, but this is an uncommon sin and gradual sin of a deliberate hardened heart.
