If you are married, then you need to see your marriage as the primary means by which you honor and obey God in your life. That means you can be a good dad, but if you're a bad husband, you are not pleasing God. The reverse is true for you ladies. You can be a good mom, or Sunday School teacher, or well respected in the community, or one of the rising stars at work, or have a thriving business, but if you're not a godly wife or husband, then you are not honoring and obeying God in the most foundational way He created you. |
