By their very nature we 'await' them, having from one point already received them, but from the point of view of time and eternity, we look still for their final consummation. The main focus of our time together will be the certainty of the promises of God, secured by his own oath. This oath is expressed in the gift of His Son on our behalf. Our assurance is established as we seize the hope that is guaranteed by these promises.
