Great Sermon! Too much to be gained from a closer look. Daniel 9 is the passage Christ was speaking of. 69 weeks of years was the time described that would take place between the decree to rebuild Israel to the time the Messiah would present Himself as king, which was predicted to the exact day. The 27th verse describes the 70th week of years in which the abomination that makes desolate occurs. This week occurs separately from the 69 which is made obvious by the prediction that the temple would be destroyed. Which did happen almost 40 years later in 70 AD; much longer than 7 years later. At the beginning of this week the "prince that shall come" confirms a covenant with Israel and in the middle of the week causes the sacrifices to be halted. There has to be another temple of course for this to happen. This prince is the antichrist. When he stops the sacrifices he also spreads an abomination that makes desolate. This is what Christ was referring to from Daniel. This desolation will continue until the consummation or end which is determined which is poured on the desolate. The antichrist is of course the desolate. This 3 & 1/2 year period is the great tribulation Christ is referring to. The apostles are being instructed to flee this occurrence. Could give much more detail with more space

Great Sermon! Excellent! I, as usual could say more. But why? The message was beautiful.
