In fairly rapid succession the Second Missionary Journey concludes and the Third Missionary Journey begins. As Paul was traveling back to Antioch and Jerusalem, he stopped by Ephesus and they asked him to stay. He said he couldn't, but that he would endeavor to come back.
Well, after he returns, this begins an extended time of ministry in Ephesus. It seems fairly clear that His Time in Ephesus was essential the establishment of a Seminary or Discipleship Training Center.
We're told that through his labors in Ephesus that all Asia came to hear the gospel.
