Take, for example, our mode of dress. In most cases people will dress in their very best clothes to attend an event that they highly value. The manner of dress observed at weddings, graduations, funerals, and worship services generally reflect this as well. But what about how the culture views motherhood? Historically held in the highest esteem, in our day many cultural cues and influential voices have seemingly diminished the importance and value of mothers. But as Dr. Kennedy reminds us in his message, "The Influence of a Godly Mother," the secular culture generally gets a great many things wrong. Nowhere is that more true than in its view of the diminished value of motherhood.
