Time is a process. "It came to pass" is found 456 times in the Bible. Time does not stand still for anyone, ever. Time only seems to stand still when we live in the present moment without any thought of the past or the future. Children live this way, and fools. Time becomes a more important factor when we grow up and assume some responsibilities, but in our youth we simply do not understand that time is passing and a process is happening. It is like going to sleep in the car and waking up hundreds of miles down the road. There comes a moment when we suddenly realize what time has done in our life. The sooner we wake up to the fact of life that time is a process and a moving thing, more we can make of life and prepare for eternity.
