As those who are coming into the church of God, we need to remember the change that has taken place. Paul has already dealt with that incredible change on a personal level. Now he considers how God's marvelous favor on those who have earned only His just and good punishment works to incorporate them into the work that Jesus already began among the Jews. This is the work of building up a better temple than the one that came before. This temple is a Spiritual temple in which God will always dwell. Our job is to remember the before and after of what God is doing in us.
