We saw how David, when facing the same enemy, the same battle he enquires of the Lord on both occasions. He doesn't trust in his abilities, his military knowledge or rely upon past victories. In all his ways he acknowledges the Lord. This is the same for us - in every thing looking to and relying on the Lord. David is to wait to see the Lord's sign and then bestir himself. We are to be those who watch and pray. Presumption and procrastination are both symptoms of not trusting the Lord.
