In an age when Christians seek therapy before the seek the Lord, it is important to be reminded that God is a primary, not a secondary source when it comes to healing hurting marriages. Far from being silent on the issue of conflict resolution, the Bible has much to say on the subject.

Wonderful marriage message I love the part where Voddie imitates various men wanting out from marriage and he just says suck it up and love your wife.

Great Sermon! This was the best message/sermon I've ever heard on marriage and Christianity. It touched my spirit and soul. I shared it with my husband. I hope it touches his spirit and soul as well. Enough to come home.

Great Sermon! It's encouraging to hear balanced teaching on marriage, which is one of the enemy's favorite attacks. We men need to love our wives as Christy loves the church. Ouch! God bless you Voddie.

A Blessing I have profited from Brother Baucham's faithful handling of God's Word for a couple of years now, and this message for hurting marriages, is one of his best. By God's grace I pray that God will take my eye's off the face of the man I see in the mirror, and replace it with my slain Savior who died for me AND my wife.

Great Sermon! Amazing message! Great for all, not just "hurting" marriages. I think this should be required listening for all premarital "counseling" too!
Gospel centered not cultural!

Right on Time This sermon hit so close to home and with what is going on in our marriage. Although my husband has separated from me, I believe that OUR marriage will be restored. I just pray that he listens to this powerful audio on Healing for Hurting Marriage in its entirety.

Great Sermon! What a great sermon this was! I'm unmarried, but I wanted to listen to it anyway. The words he spoke were very convicting and very true. I am so happy one of my friends told me about this message and that I took the time to hear it.

Great Sermon! Great sermon! I appreciate Black preachers who teach sound doctrine. I am encouraged by men like Voddie, Paul, Piper and Macarthur.

Great Sermon! As a Black pastor of a small Baptist church in South Ga, I'm constantly grieved by many of my piers who fail to appreciate this kind of preaching. Dr. Baucham is scripturally accurate and passionate! He is sooo refreshing to men such as myself who simply desire God, His truth, and His Glory by Christ Jesus! This is another one of his messages I will mass distribute. Thanks sermonaudio!

Great Sermon! Wonderful to hear a really strong message based on Bible truth. Not what most of us want to hear but what we need to hear.Could do with more preachers like this in the UK as most churches have lost the power of Jesus through pandering to popularity.

Great Sermon! What a great sermon. Voddie is always very expositional. The weird thing about this sermon was how the people were laughing at all the stuff he was saying, but Voddie kept that mirror of God's word in their face and by the end of the sermon I think they were getting the picture because I sure was. Thank God for you Voddie we need more preachers like you.
V Barnes (7/31/2011)
Great Sermon! Awesome message! We were on the verge of divorce this year but by God's Grace we were able to receive truth like this. How magnificent is our GOD!

VERY POWERFUL What a powerful sermon!
I wish there was a way that every Christian in America could hear this sermon. Even those who are not married.
Voddie did an excellent job - by the Spirit - in reminding Christians of their responsibility before God.
Marriage is not about your/my Happiness. It is about HIS Glory!
Thanks Voddie.
May EVERY Christian Wife fall to her knees in repentance before God, for her lack of biblical submission.
May EVERY Christian Husband fall to his knees in repentance before God, for his lack of LOVE toward his wife.
If Voddie's explanation of Biblical Repentance is understood and embraced, it would be impossible to say I forgive him/her "but I can't forget."
"Father it is my prayer that you will use this Word as a powerful sword in your hand to break the hearts of so many professing Christians that have thrown in the towel. Give us the POWER to stop living for self (2 Cor. 5:14,15).

Great Sermon! This is an excellent sermon on why marriages are broken-- one word: selfishness and idolatry. I am a military spouse who constantly sees marriages break apart...
Thank you, I enjoyed hearing your sermon and it's a great reminder to love my husband as Jesus Christ loves the church.

Praise the Lord, Above! Somehow, I have got to get my husband, who has told me "I am DONE!" to listen to this! Pray that the Lord will provide a way. Thank you for your head on approach. You are doing a great work for the Lord!

So clearly spoken. As always, Voddie says it so simply that no one can argue the Truth found in scripture, and the many ways we excuse ourselves from being responsible to that Truth by complicating something that's not complicated: Jesus' love for us and the church to which we belong.
Praise be to Him for giving me my wife!

Ouch! Okay...so that really hit home. What a great kick in the pants (so to speak!)
Voddie Baucham wears many hats. He is a husband, father, pastor, author, professor, conference speaker and church planter. He currently serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, TX. He has served as an adjunct professor at the College of Biblical...
