Lucifer became the Serpent of old; Satan, the adversary; the Devil, the slanderer; the Roaring Lion stalking believers; and the Accuser of the saints (I Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:9-11).
Satan is still allowed to come before God at various times to accuse believers before the Presence of God (Job 1:6; Zechariah 3:1; Rev. 12:10).
Revelation 12:9-11 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb [that is FAITH] and by the word of their testimony [that is HOPE], and they did not love their lives to the death [that is LOVE].
A mighty fortress is our God, A bulwark never failing; Our helper He amid the flood Of mortal ills prevailing; For still our ancient foe Doth seek to work us woe; His craft and pow'r are great, And armed with cruel hate, On earth is not His equal
And tho' this world, with devils filled, Should threaten to undo us, We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph thro" us; The prince of Darkness grim, We tremble not for him; His rage we can endure, For lo, his doom is sure, One little word shall fell him.
