This lesson expounds the faith of Abraham tried and exercised. God commands Abraham to offer up Isaac, the promise of God. Abraham does so by faith because he accounted, or reckoned, or judged that God was able to raise Isaac up from the dead. In this lesson, we are exhorted to do so by looking, accounting, judging reckoning that God is able to raise us up in Christ Jesus (of which Scriptural baptism is a picture of).
