Paul is asking the church to pray for him. The “greater” the Christian, the more he realizes his need of the prayers pf God's people. Paul was well aware of his enemy the evil one and his hordes. He knew he was in the midst of spiritual warfare.
Paul's greatest fear was failing God. His thoughts were always on others. His specific request was not self-centered but Gospel-centered. He longed to present the Gospel freely and frankly with clarity.
Christ and His Kingdom consumed Paul. We ought to pray for one another to be bold in our witness and remember that Christ is what matters!
