Great Sermon! Wow. What a series! Church history is for the Christian, not just the seminarian! Thank you for teaching this in such an understandable way! How important it is, especially in this day, for us to know our history!

WOW - what a great series!! A couple years ago I followed the journey of the early church by a comprehensive study of the Acts of the Apostles, etc., and have wanted to fill in the gap of church history from that time to present, but don't have much time to read. I like to listen to sermons on the treadmill and in the tractor, so I searched for a series on church history. I found the first 3 and did extra time on the treadmill today so I could keep listening! Pastor Phillips has a way of telling the facts in a very interesting way and then finishes with application and lessons for today. After the 3rd sermon (on Augustine) I really wanted to hear more so I searched again. I was THRILLED to find 39 messages on church history by Pastor Phillips!! I plan to download all of them since spring seeding is coming up and I will be spending many hours in the tractor, and now I am looking forward to that! In the meantime, I'll keep at the treadmill. Thanks for posting all those great sermons!

Great Sermon! Listened to the message yesterday and it stirred my heart the rest of the day and I am still thinking about it. The cost of evangelism in the early church leaves us with an awesome inheritance and serious soul searching as we face the future.

Praise be to God I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I have listened to almost all of the sermons in the church history series by Michael Phillips, and a good deal of other sermons on other topics. We made mp3 copies of the church history messages and distributed them to a group of our friends. Three of our friends are leaving for East Asia today as they are going to encourage a brother who is laboring for Christ over there. We sent a cd with all of the church history messages with them to give to this brother. These messages have been such a blessing to us and our faith, that I just wanted to thank you and encourage you to keep on serving the Lord in the sincerity and truth of the message. May souls be turned and God be glorified!!

Outstanding Church History Sermon Series! Absolutely excellent lectures/sermons on church history and should be required listening.

Great Sermons!!!! How lucky Grace Baptist is to have such a wonderful minister in Michael Phillips. What a charming small church. I found out about sermonaudio.com by way of looking for a church to attend while I was in Woodland Hills and finding The Tree of Life church in Canoga Park, Calif.
I enjoy the calming strength of his voice and personality as well as the depth and breath of his sermons. I only wish I had heard him ten years ago - make that twenty.
Yours truly,
