Deuteronomy 11:21 holds out the possibility of enjoying “days of heaven upon the earth” – days that are crowded and crowned with such an abundance of blessing that it seems as if the person who experiences it has stepped right into heaven before the time!
Our texts, in Revelation 7:16&17 and Isaiah 49:10, certainly stand out in scripture as wonderful illustrations of this truth: the words in both are so similar you would be forgiven for imagining that they are describing the one and the same experience!
Both present us with a picture of:
1. REPLENISHMENT.
All kinds of provision is ours.
2 RESPITE.
Evil things are banished.
3. REGULATION ...
In addition to feeding the redeemed saints in heaven, Christ has the task of leading them.
Of course our lives on earth should be regulated by the Saviour’s leading.
