This psalm is a song of David celebrating being delivered from all his troubles, but especially from Saul. David is a type of Christ, who was also often delivered from trouble in His life, but His ultimate delivery was from death and the grave. Jesus was raised from the dead because He was sinless and kept all the ways of the Lord. Christ came to save His people, but also to conquer His foes. Because He was raised, God gave Him the nations as a heritage. Our song should be: Christ is raised.
