INTRODUCTION: The tabernacle was not complete without the priests who were chosen to serve in it and offer the sacrifices for the people. This passage specifically describes the garments worn by the priests. The consecration of the priests is described in Exodus 29:1-46. The creation of the world took two chapters in Genesis with all the stars taking only one phrase in Genesis 1:16, yet the making of the tabernacle took thirteen chapters (about 33% of the book of Exodus). God used more space in scripture to speak of redemption than he did the beauties of His creation.
CONCLUSION: God made a way for the Israelites to have and to maintain a right relationship with Him. We are not under the law, but we must still keep a right relationship with God. The Jews had one man as their High Priest. The Church has Jesus Christ as our High Priest and we need no earthly mediator. What a blessing to know the Lord!
