And God wants us to believe Job. God himself at the beginning of Job asked, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” (1:8)
Job's wife had her doubts: “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die.” (2:9)
Now in his final speech, Job has a last opportunity to curse God and die! But instead he maintains his innocence, and calls down curses on himself if he is guilty....
