Jesus memorably established an important principle when He instructed the Apostle John (in the book of Revelation) to write letters to seven specific churches in Asia. What was that principle? It was this: Renewal and revival begin with remembering. In His letter to the church at Ephesus, Jesus said: “Remember therefore from where you have fallen. Repent and do the works you did at first, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your candlestick from its place, unless you repent.” Do we also need to remember the heights from which we have fallen? Do we also need to repent, remembering Him who called us from out of darkness to walk in His marvelous light? Dr. D. James Kennedy explains, in his message, "Lest We Forget."
