1. WHO IS THIS THAT COMETH FROM EDOM? the Lord Jesus Christ. “Edom” means “red” (cf. 63:2). Revelation 19:13.
2. WHY DOES OUR LORD TREAD THE WINEPRESS ALONE? The imagery of the “winepress” (Isa. 63:2, 3) is used in the book of Revelation to depict the fierce wrath of God. John 5:22.
3. WHY WILL OUR LORD TREAD DOWN THE PEOPLE IN HIS ANGER? We can never appreciate God's holiness until we first understand how much God hates sin. Psalm 5:5. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Eccl 12:13
