SOURCE: the beginning, the point of supply, or fountain. Where are you and I getting, obtaining, receiving our strength? If you rely on any one other than Jesus when they falter than you will lose your strength. There are some people we know who are very strong and just their mere presence is encouraging to us. We feel some strength and that's nice, but it doesn't last long nor should it be the ultimate place where we get our strength. These people will at the least eventually leave us one way or another. So some people turn to other things for strength: alcohol, drugs, sex or some other high instead of turning to Jesus. So we see here that Paul is going to tells us that our true source of strength is found not in the things of this world but in our Lord Jesus
