Interesting Interview Appreciated Brian's insight. So much of this history has affected me. For 11 years I was ANM's computer tutor when we lived in Jenison, MI. He was 75 when he first set out to learn. The story of Dr. Pipa and his enthusiasm for ANM's preaching he told me about in person. He was at the conference in 1971 as a new student at Reformed Theological Seminary when Martin preached the 3 sermons - I had the cassettes 'Take Heed to Thyself and Thy Ministry." John Gerstner was in that conference. I always referred to my friend as Pastor Martin. He was the spiritual father I never had, though he and dad were only 14 months apart in age. We talked about the writings of John Owen for hours. When I got him his first Kindle, he used to read Owen while working out on a tread mill at the fitness center. Best to you brother on your new pastorate. I knew Robert Paul Martin for many years. T M S - The Narrated Puritan on The Man of God Network.
