Redeeming the time means making the most of the opportunities you have to share the Gospel with others and to be a good witness. Redeeming the time means making the best use of the limited time you have in life. It requires being intentional and diligent in the way you use your time, avoiding wasteful and unproductive activities, and instead focusing on things that are worthwhile, beneficial, and aligned with God's purposes. Ephesians 5:1 says, "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." This verse tells us why we should redeem the time. Colossians 4:5-6 explains how to redeem time. "Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." The way to redeem the time in an evil world is to not be evil. Be good. Be kind. Be patient. Be loving. Be joyful. Be gentle. Be wise. Be humble. Be disciplined. Seasoning your speech with salt means to talk to others about things that will make them thirsty to hear more.
